Here are some frequently questioned answers:

===== Are you a hackerspace? =====

Kinda, but not really. While we operate on the basis of voluntary membership, we do not have an open registration policy and do not actively seek new members.

If you're looking for a hackerspace in Munich, we can recommend [[https://muc.ccc.de|muCCC]], most of us hang out there from time to time.

===== Can I come visit you? =====

Only by appointment with one of our members, or during one of our [[orga:events]].

===== Why not do this within an existing hackerspace/makerspace/fablab? =====

Floorspace at hackerspaces is a precious commodity, and we need plenty of it for exclusive use by heavy machinery. We also need to follow quite strict safety and access protocols, which would be difficult to establish and maintain at an existing hackerspace. At some point it's easier to start another space that's dedicated to one particular goal than to convince existing communities to adapt to ours.
