+==== Toilet Paper Imaging (2026-08-01) ====
 +
 +
 +First we sputtered a tiny sample of toilet paper with chromium in our Edwards AUTO 306 Coating System...

 +
 +...and then we imaged it in the SEM.

 +==== Optical Imaging (2026-07-31) ====
 +
 +
 +Very professional setup for optical imaging of a random test wafer sample using our HITEC 600-53 Optical Microscope.
 +
 +==== CMOS Image Sensor from a DSLR Camera (2026-07-31) ====
 +
 +
 +
 +What seems to be a test pattern in the corner of a CMOS image sensor chip. It was from a Canon EOS 4D MKII, a DSLR camera from 2008.
 +
 +First image is optical microscope (HITEC 600-53), second image is SEM (Zeiss DSM 962).  There is a lot of dirt on the SEM picture because someone (...) forgot to clean the sample before imaging...
 +
 +
 +
 +Here you can see the microlens array ontop of the bayer pattern (red, green, and blue filters) of the sensor.

 +==== Fiber alignment using OpenFlexure Delta Stage (2026-07-22) ====
 +
 +
 +
 +As part of our laser optics endeavours, we attempted coupling light from a laser diode directly into a single-mode 635nm optical fiber. For alignment, we used the OpenFlexure Delta Stage (bottom left of the picture).

 +==== Plasma in our sputter coater (2026-07-16) ====
 +
 +
 +Inside our Edwards AUTO 306 Coating System sputter coater system. You can see out a makeshift sample holder hanging above.
 +
 +==== Sandpaper-delidded RP2350 (2026-07-10) ====
 +
 +
 +A part of the die of an RP2350 which we delidded/decapped using sandpaper. You can see the deep grooves left by the sandpaper grains, cutting through the layer structure of the chip. This picture was taken using the OBI (Open Beam Interface) connected to our Zeiss DSM 962.

 +
 +
 +A hair sputtered with Chromium viewed under our SEM.
