Photonic Computing
This is currently not a full fledged project and won't be for quite some time. This is more of a note-keeping thing for me, so that I don't Spam our matrix with youtube videos.
WHAT
Photonic Computing is basically the idea to recreate logic gates based on lasers, instead of light. A good talk is for instance this one here: Photonic ICs, Silicon Photonics & Programmable Photonics - HandheldOCT webinar This can be FAST, they assume that they can do multiple Terrahertz with this technique.
WHY
- Its cool
- Its seems that its doable with a E-Beam-Litography Process with nice results: In-memory computing on a photonic platform
